White Tea looks after the skin’s firmness, hydration and smoothness, so that your face looks fresher, more radiant and rested. Its products contain white tea antioxidants, peptides, hyaluronic acid and ingredients that support the skin’s recovery.
Who it suits
We suggest this treatment for more mature or tired skin, when it:
- is gradually losing its firmness and elasticity;
- has fine lines and expression lines, or is beginning to show more visible wrinkles;
- looks tired and greyish, and has lost its radiance;
- lacks moisture and feels tight;
- shows signs of ageing left by the sun;
- calls for freshness and more intensive care before an important occasion.
We care not only for the face but also for the neck and décolletage: over the years these areas change along with the face, yet they often receive less attention.
If your skin mainly lacks moisture, the HY+ hydrating facial may suit you better.
How the treatment works
Before working with acids we want to know your skin well, so we talk with you and look at it: we assess its type, sensitivity and current condition, and ask about your home care – especially any products with acids or retinol. This determines how intensive the acid step will be and how long the acids are left on the skin.
- We cleanse the skin thoroughly, removing make-up, traces of sunscreen, excess oil and impurities. Then we tone it.
- We exfoliate gently with a heat-activated product. It helps remove dead cells from the surface layer and smooths the skin, leaving it softer, more radiant and more receptive to active ingredients.
- We apply pyruvic and lactic acids. This step renews the surface layer of the skin and smooths its texture. While the acids are working, we watch how your skin responds.
- We stop the acids with a neutraliser, which helps restore the skin’s pH balance and a feeling of comfort.
- We apply a restorative serum whose active ingredients help maintain the skin’s firmness, hydration and smoothness. We massage the serum in by hand or, if it suits your skin, combine it with non-invasive device-based methods.
- We give a relaxing, firming massage of the face, neck and décolletage. It stimulates microcirculation, eases tension and tones the skin, leaving the face looking more vibrant. We may also use a Gua Sha stone for the massage.
- We lay a hydrating, firming bio-cellulose mask over the face, neck and décolletage. After the active steps, it calms the skin, replenishes its moisture and leaves a feeling of comfort and freshness.
- We finish with a firming cream chosen for what your skin needs, an eye-care product and broad-spectrum sun protection.
White Tea or a peel?
Here the acids are only one part of the treatment: after them we calm the skin, massage it, hydrate it and protect it from the sun. If your aim is steady renewal of the skin with acids – for example, to even out its tone or smooth its texture – a chemical peel may suit you better. We will decide together which to choose, once we have looked at your skin.
Aftercare
When the treatment is over, the face usually looks rested, and the skin smoother, more radiant and hydrated.
Use broad-spectrum sun protection every day, even when it is cloudy, and avoid sunbathing and sunbeds: after the acid step the skin is more sensitive to the sun, and protection helps guard it against pigmentation.
Before you go, we tell you what we noticed and advise you on the home care that suits your skin, and on when you can go back to products with acids or retinol.
How often
Your first treatment will show how your skin responds to the acids – and then we will advise how often to repeat White Tea.
