Who Easy TCA suits
We choose this peel when the aim is to renew the skin and even out its tone:
- the skin looks tired and greyish, and its texture is uneven;
- there is visible pigmentation or marks left by the sun;
- fine, shallow lines are beginning to appear;
- the skin is oily and prone to breakouts, with congested pores.
The peel suits both fair and darker skin. If there are many breakouts and they are inflamed, we recommend seeing a dermatologist first. For very sensitive skin, we sometimes suggest a gentler acid cleansing facial.
What makes it different
TCA (trichloroacetic acid) is one of the most widely known acids in professional peels. The Easy TCA formula is designed so that the acid penetrates the skin slowly and spreads evenly, and the depth of its action can be controlled. There is no need to prepare your skin at home before the peel, and the peel does not need to be neutralised either. Afterwards, a soothing mask is applied.
Cosmetologist Žana Mitiajeva trained in Skin Tech peels on the company’s own course – in 2011, on the Costa Brava in Spain.
How the treatment works
- On your first visit we begin with a conversation: we look at your skin and talk about what you would like and how you care for it at home.
- We remove your make-up and prepare the skin.
- We apply the Easy TCA solution and watch how the skin responds throughout. You will feel some tingling or warmth.
- We apply a soothing mask.
- We apply a cream with SPF and explain how to care for your skin over the next few days.
A course of treatments
Easy TCA is given as a course: four peels, one a week. After them, for a further six weeks, you care for your skin every day at home with Skin Tech products that we choose together. The four peels and six weeks of home care make up one cycle of skin renewal; if needed, it can be repeated.
After the peel
For a few days your skin may feel drier and tighter, and it may flake lightly – do not pick or peel it; let it renew itself naturally. Use a cream with sun protection every day and avoid sunbathing and sunbeds; for the first few days, also avoid saunas, swimming pools and strenuous exercise. During the course, please do not use other scrubs or acids without our advice.
Because of the sun, we usually plan peels between autumn and spring. You can read more about how we choose a peel on the Chemical peels page.
