Who it suits
We suggest this retinol facial when your skin lacks radiance, smoothness and firmness – when it:
- looks tired and dull;
- has fine lines;
- has become rougher, with a less even texture;
- has lost some of its elasticity;
- has an uneven tone or small dark spots.
The Active suits more mature skin particularly well, but age is not what matters most – we are guided by what we see when we look at your skin.
If your skin lacks moisture above all, the HY+ hydrating facial may suit it better; if dark spots and uneven tone concern you most, chemical peels may be the better choice. We will advise you on which to choose, by phone or during your visit.
How the treatment works
The treatment opens with a conversation and a look at your skin. We ask which products you use at home, especially any with retinoids or acids, and choose the intensity of the treatment according to the condition and sensitivity of your skin.
- We remove your make-up and cleanse the skin thoroughly.
- We give the skin a gentle two-phase exfoliation that combines mechanical and chemical action. It helps to remove dead skin cells, smooth the surface and prepare the skin for the active ingredients.
- Next comes the Gummy Massage. It stimulates microcirculation and tones the skin, and afterwards your face looks fresher and more rested.
- We deliver concentrated encapsulated retinol into the skin with ultrasound or with the oxygen infusion device, which enriches the concentrate with oxygen and sprays it onto the face in a fine stream. Both methods are part of The Active, and the price is the same either way. We choose between them according to what your skin needs.
- We finish with Retimask, a hydrating, restoring mask with vitamins A, C and E. It soothes and nourishes the skin, bringing it comfort, elasticity and radiance.
Throughout the treatment we watch how your skin responds and, if needed, reduce the intensity.
About retinol
Retinol is a form of vitamin A. It encourages skin renewal, so the skin may look smoother and more even in tone, and fine lines and small dark spots less noticeable.
In this treatment we use encapsulated retinol, enclosed in microscopic capsules. This form is usually chosen so that the retinol is more stable and works more evenly.
About FR-HAUT
FR-HAUT is a Spanish line of professional skincare, and The Active is one of its treatments. In 2026 cosmetologist Žana Mitiajeva took part in the international FR-HAUT training in Madrid.
Aftercare
After the treatment your skin usually looks smoother, more radiant and well hydrated, and your face looks fresher.
After retinol and exfoliation the skin is more sensitive to the sun, so apply a high-protection sunscreen, SPF 50, every day – even on cloudy days.
At the end of your visit we tell you what we noticed, advise you on the home care that suits your skin, and let you know when you can go back to using your home products with acids or retinoids. If anything concerns you later, call us – we will advise.
How often
A retinol treatment is worth repeating regularly – that makes it easier to keep your skin looking smoother and more even. After your first treatment, once we have seen how your skin responds to retinol, we will advise you how often to have it. Between visits, much depends on home care and daily sun protection.
